CrossPBX

📞 CrossPBX: Luxembourg-hosted cloud PBX sold with the line

CrossPBX is a cloud phone system hosted in Luxembourg and sold to business customers, usually together with the seller's own business fibre and DDoS protection. It has been a Mixvoip product since July 2025. It is priced as a platform plus licences rather than as a single price per seat.

🏢 Who CrossPBX is

CrossPBX is the cloud PBX product sold by Crossing Telecom. The contract names Crossing Telecom sàrl, 3 rue Henri Tudor, L-5366 Munsbach, registered in Luxembourg under RCS number B86244. The product is aimed at professional customers only, and the positioning is straightforward: telephony in the cloud, and the line it runs on, from one supplier.
The ownership changed recently, and this is the part that is hard to piece together from the product site. In July 2025 Mixvoip announced that Crossing Telecom's customer portfolio had become part of Mixvoip. Both the CrossPBX site and the older Crossing Telecom site now carry Mixvoip SA in the footer, while the legacy site keeps its own phone number and email address.
Both companies are notified electronic communications operators in Luxembourg. The ILR's published carrier code list names them separately: Crossing Telecom S.à r.l., abbreviated CRO with carrier code 0411, and Mixvoip S.A., abbreviated MXVP with carrier code 0413. For a buyer, that means CrossPBX sits with a locally notified operator rather than a reseller.

📦 What CrossPBX offers

Three published tiers, which differ mainly in what connectivity and support come with the phone system.
1️⃣ CrossPBX CHEAP
The phone system on its own, without bundled internet. Support is charged as used, with no managed contract included.
2️⃣ CrossPBX PRO
The phone system with CTFibre business internet at 30, 500 or 1000 Mbps and basic DDoS protection. A 4G failover line is optional, and a managed support contract can be added.
3️⃣ CrossPBX ADVANCED
CTFibre at 1000 Mbps or a Business Server line, with the higher DDoS protection tier, a 4G failover option, and a managed support and PBX administration contract included.
The calling features are the same across the tiers. Unlimited voice channels and root numbers, up to 9,999 extensions behind each root number, voicemail centrally or per user, conference rooms, call groups, presence, click-to-call, fax to email and email to fax, and one number that rings on the desk phone, the smartphone and the PC.
On devices, there are apps for iOS and Android, a Windows desktop app with audio and video, Yealink desk phones available to buy, to rent or to bring yourself, and DECT handsets for people who move around a building. Integration is published for Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Teams.

🇱🇺 Hosting, data and regulation

Many providers put "hosted in Luxembourg" on a web page. CrossPBX puts it in a published document, which is a stronger form of the same claim and worth knowing about.
The published GDPR document states that all of this data, and all of Crossing Telecom's servers, are located exclusively in Luxembourg. The particular conditions for CrossPBX add that the platform is virtualised in a cloud hosted in Luxembourg on the seller's own dedicated infrastructure. The same documents state that suppliers and sub-processors are all within the EU, though none are named individually.
Two more points from the published set. Communication data is kept for a maximum of six months from the invoice date, so the retention period is defined rather than open-ended. And the contracts are governed by Luxembourg law, with Luxembourg courts competent for business customers. For a buyer in a regulated sector, those are the kinds of statement an auditor asks to see in writing.

🔢 How the numbering works

This is the most distinctive technical thing about CrossPBX, and it is easy to miss.
Numbering is built around a root number. One root number can carry up to 9,999 extensions, and the number of voice channels is not capped. So a business with a hundred people who mostly need internal extensions pays for one root number, not for a hundred separate direct numbers. Direct numbers are priced by length, and shorter numbers cost more than longer ones.
That model suits a single larger site with a lot of internal calling. It suits a business differently if most people need their own public direct number, because then the per-number cost applies to each of them. Work out which of the two describes your team before you compare monthly totals with any other provider.

💶 How CrossPBX is priced

CrossPBX is not sold as one price per seat, and this is the single most useful thing to understand before you ask for a quote.
There are three separate elements. A monthly platform charge for the phone system itself, sometimes called the centrale. A one-off setup charge per platform. Then a monthly charge per user licence, with different licence types for a standard user, a contact centre user and a fax to email user, and the smartphone and PC apps carried at no charge. Numbers are billed separately, priced by length.
The product pages show a starting price per user. That figure is the licence, not the total, so a ten-person quote will be higher than ten times the headline once the platform, the setup and the numbering are included. Ask for the full monthly total at your user count.
📄 Where the real numbers are published
Unusually for this market, a full CrossPBX price grid is published as a PDF, along with the general conditions, the particular conditions for CrossPBX and the GDPR document. Most Luxembourg providers publish none of this. The whole set sits in one place: the Crossing Telecom document index. The price grid covers the CHEAP tier; for PRO and ADVANCED, ask for the grid in writing.
Flat calling packages for European destinations are offered and carry a fair-use policy, with anything above the allowance billed at the standard business rates. Ask for both the destination list and the overage rate card before signing, since the second one is not published.

👥 Typical client profiles

Four situations where CrossPBX is a natural fit.

🏢 The Luxembourg business that wants one supplier

Phone system, fibre, DDoS protection and an optional 4G backup on one contract with one point of contact. For a company without in-house IT, that single-supplier simplicity is the main reason to choose this product.

🗣️ The French-speaking team

The website, the contracts and the local support all work in French. A team that prefers to do business in French throughout will find less friction here than with an international platform.

🏗️ The single site with a lot of internal calling

Workshops, warehouses, garages, clinics and offices where most calls are internal and only a few people need a public direct number. The root-number model is built for exactly this shape.

🔁 The business leaving an old on-premise PBX

Companies retiring an ageing box in a cupboard, who want DECT handsets and desk phones to keep working the way staff are used to, with mobile and softphone added on top.

🎯 Where CrossPBX stands apart

📄 Published contract documents

The general conditions, the CrossPBX particular conditions, the GDPR document and a price grid are all published as PDFs. In a market where most providers reveal terms only after a sales conversation, being able to read the contract before you talk to anyone is a real advantage.

🇱🇺 A hosting statement in writing

The claim that all servers and all data sit exclusively in Luxembourg appears in a published GDPR document, not only as a badge on a homepage. That is the version you can put in front of a compliance officer.

📶 The phone system and the line from one place

Because the seller provides the fibre, the DDoS protection and the optional 4G failover, call quality problems do not turn into an argument between two suppliers. One contract, one number to call.

❓ Common questions

Who owns CrossPBX?
CrossPBX is a Mixvoip product. In July 2025 Mixvoip announced that Crossing Telecom's customer portfolio had become part of Mixvoip. Both the CrossPBX site and the older Crossing Telecom site now show Mixvoip SA in the footer. The published contracts still name Crossing Telecom sàrl as the contracting party, so ask which entity your agreement runs with.
Is Crossing Telecom still an operator in its own right?
Yes, on the public record. The ILR's carrier code list names Crossing Telecom S.à r.l. with the abbreviation CRO and carrier code 0411, separately from Mixvoip S.A. with MXVP and 0413. Two notified operators, two routing codes.
Is CrossPBX really hosted in Luxembourg?
The published GDPR document states that all data and all of the company's servers are located exclusively in Luxembourg, and the CrossPBX particular conditions state the platform runs in a Luxembourg-hosted cloud on the seller's own dedicated infrastructure. Suppliers and sub-processors are described as EU-based, without being named. That is a documented statement rather than a marketing line, which is worth more in a compliance file.
Where can I see CrossPBX prices and contract terms?
A price grid for the CHEAP tier is published as a PDF, alongside the general conditions, the CrossPBX particular conditions and the GDPR document, all in the document index on the Crossing Telecom site. PRO and ADVANCED publish a starting price per user on their product pages but no full grid, so request one in writing.
Do I have to take the internet line as well?
Not with the entry tier, which is the phone system on its own. The PRO and ADVANCED tiers are built around CTFibre business internet with DDoS protection and an optional 4G backup line. If you already have a fibre contract you are happy with, say so early, because the bundled tiers assume you are moving the line too.
How many phone numbers and extensions can I have?
Voice channels and root numbers are not capped, and each root number carries up to 9,999 extensions. Direct public numbers are billed separately and priced by length, with shorter numbers costing more. Work out how many people genuinely need a public direct number before comparing monthly totals.
