Datacenter.eu is the trading name of Datacenter Luxembourg S.A., a Luxembourg provider of colocation, private cloud, business connectivity and cyber protection. It does not sell a Cloud PBX, SIP trunks or phone numbers. It appears on pbx.lu because businesses that want to run their own phone system still need somewhere to put it.

🏢 Who Datacenter.eu is
Datacenter.eu is the trading name of Datacenter Luxembourg S.A., a public limited company registered in Luxembourg under RCS number B77200 and incorporated on 10 August 2000. Its registered address is 202, Z.A.E. Wolser F, L-3290 Bettembourg. It describes itself as an internet services provider and technology aggregator, and sells to businesses, the public sector and other carriers.
It runs its own network rather than reselling someone else's. It holds the autonomous system number AS24611, allocated in March 2002, and announces 16 IPv4 and 3 IPv6 address blocks today. It has 10 Gbps ports at LU-CIX in Luxembourg, BNIX in Belgium and France-IX in Paris, and buys upstream capacity from POST Luxembourg and Lumen. It is a Gold Member of LU-CIX.
There is a history with telephony, but it sits in the past. Its former telecom arm, Voipgate, was absorbed by Mixvoip in 2018. In December 2021 it took a stake in Mixvoip, reported by Mixvoip at approximately 24.9%. Both companies now sit under Emios SA.

Space for your own hardware: a dedicated private room, a dedicated rack, a shared IT room, or a single shared rack unit. Its colocation page describes the facilities it uses as Tier II to Tier IV.

Virtual Private Cloud, Virtual Private Server, Dedicated Private Cloud, and MultiCloud Connect for private links into Azure, AWS and Google Cloud. No processor, memory or storage specifications are published.
🌐 Connectivity
FiberLink private fibre between sites, quoted up to 100 Gbps. Direct Internet Access and IP transit. Emios Fiber business broadband from 20 Mbps to 1000 Mbps, with rush delivery options.
🛡️ Backup, recovery and security
Backup as a Service and Disaster Recovery as a Service, built on Commvault, Veeam and VMware Cloud Director Availability. Managed FortiGate and Sophos XGS firewalls. DDoS protection sold under the InfraProtect name.

⚠️ No voice service
Datacenter.eu publishes no Cloud PBX, no SIP trunking, no phone numbers and no calling minutes. Inside the Emios group, voice services sit with Mixvoip and Voxbi.
⚖️ Owns the building, or rents the space?
This is the most useful thing to understand about any hosting provider, and it is widely misread. Uptime Institute Tier certificates are awarded to a data centre building or its design. The certificate stays with the company that operates that building. A provider renting racks inside a certified building can offer you space in it, but does not itself hold the certificate.
As of September 2026, Datacenter.eu does not appear in the Uptime Institute's list of certified facilities in Luxembourg. That list names LuxConnect, DEEP by POST, EBRC, European Data Hub, Banque de Luxembourg and Spuerkeess. Datacenter.eu's registered address is the LuxConnect DC1 campus in Bettembourg, where DC1.1 and DC1.3 hold Tier IV design certification. So the buildings are genuinely high grade, and the certificates belong to LuxConnect. Its own colocation page describes its facilities as Tier II to Tier IV, which is the more precise wording.

Colocation, private cloud, fibre, firewalls, DDoS protection, backup and recovery come from the same company under one contract. That suits smaller IT teams. The trade-off is concentration: one supplier failure touches several services at once.

Does Datacenter.eu sell a Cloud PBX or phone numbers?
No. A full read of its website in September 2026 found no PBX product, no SIP trunking, no phone number ranges and no calling minutes. Voice appears only as traffic its fibre can carry. Within the Emios group, telephony is sold by Mixvoip and Voxbi.
Can I host my own PBX with Datacenter.eu?
Yes, in two ways. You can rent colocation space and install your own hardware, from a single rack unit up to a private room. Or you can run your PBX software on a virtual machine in its cloud. Neither option is priced publicly, so you will need a quote. Ask about the network connection and the DDoS protection as part of it, since both affect call quality.
Does Datacenter.eu operate Tier IV data centres?
It provides colocation in third-party Luxembourg facilities, including buildings certified to Uptime Institute Tier IV. The certificates at its Bettembourg address are held by LuxConnect, not by Datacenter.eu, and Datacenter.eu does not appear in the Uptime Institute's Luxembourg list as of September 2026. Its own colocation page describes its facilities as Tier II to Tier IV. Ask which building your service will sit in.
Is Datacenter.eu ISO 27001 certified?
Datacenter Luxembourg announced ISO 27001 certification in November 2019. No certificate number, certification body or current scope statement is published, and there is no public confirmation of a move to the 2022 version of the standard. If certification matters to your compliance file, ask for the current certificate and check that its scope covers the exact service you are buying.
Does Datacenter.eu publish prices, and what are its support hours?
No prices are published on any product, including virtual servers. Every product page leads to a contact form. On support, the website refers to up to 24/7 availability, while the contact page publishes office hours of 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday. Ask for the out-of-hours escalation path and the response times in writing before you sign.
