🏢 Who Telkea is
Telkea traces its roots to 1929, when Société Luxembourgeoise de Téléphonie was founded. Today the group unites four Luxembourg companies: Telkea ICT (IT and communications integration), Telkea Telecom (a notified operator since 1998), Telkea Soft (business software), and Telkea Security (building security, spun off in 2024).
The group employs around 150 people from its headquarters in rue de Bitbourg, Luxembourg City. It is privately held. Telkea ICT has held a PSF agreement (Professional of the Financial Sector) since 2008, which allows it to provide outsourced IT services to Luxembourg financial institutions.
Telkea serves business and public-sector customers only. Its client base is strongest in finance, health, transport, and public administration.
📦 What Telkea offers
An operator product line plus integrator services, sold through a consultative, quote-based model.
☁️ Net-PBX
Telkea's cloud PBX service, sold in three user profiles: Entry, Standard, and Premium. The Premium profile includes the MyIstra desktop softphone and the Telkea UCall mobile app, which adds fixed-mobile convergence, presence, and messaging.
🔀 IP Move SIP trunking
Telkea Telecom provides SIP trunks in Luxembourg, Germany, France, Belgium, and Switzerland under its IP Move migration programme. Options include redundancy, business continuity, and number blocking. A SIP trunk connects your phone system to the public network over the internet instead of legacy lines.
🎙️ Compliance voice recording and trading floors
Recording of both fixed and mobile calls, aimed at banks, traders, and private advisers who must keep records of client conversations. Telkea also installs and supports trading-floor voice systems, a niche few local providers cover.
🌐 Connectivity, mobile, and integration
Business fibre and internet access connected to Telkea's own points of presence, Telkea Mobile business plans, plus the integrator side: on-premise and hybrid PBX projects, structured cabling, building security, and business software. A client portal was introduced in June 2025.

👥 Typical client profiles
Telkea targets enterprises, financial institutions, and public bodies, exclusively in B2B.
🏦 Regulated financial institutions
Banks, funds, and advisory firms that need PSF-accredited outsourcing and compliance recording of fixed and mobile calls. For desks under recording duties, Telkea's finance-sector practice is a genuine local rarity.
🏛️ Public sector and healthcare organisations
Administrations, hospitals, and clinics that value long procurement relationships and a single accountable local partner. Telkea Soft's medical software gives the group an established presence in healthcare.
🧰 Enterprises wanting one integrator contract
Companies that prefer telephony, IT networks, building security, cabling, and software delivered and supported by one group under one contract, rather than managing several vendors.
🔁 Businesses with recent on-premise PBX investments
Organisations not ready to retire existing PBX hardware. Telkea openly positions hybrid setups: keep the current system, add platform features like fixed-mobile convergence, and migrate fully later.
🎯 Where Telkea stands apart
Three positioning points that the comparison table above does not fully capture.
🏦 PSF accreditation and compliance depth
Telkea ICT has held a PSF agreement since 2008. Combined with compliance-grade recording of fixed and mobile calls and trading-floor systems, this makes Telkea credible where financial regulation shapes the buying decision.
🧰 Operator and integrator under one roof
Telkea Telecom is a notified operator with its own number ranges and points of presence. Telkea ICT installs and maintains the networks, buildings, and applications around it. Few local providers can put voice, LAN, access control, and software on one invoice.
🕰️ Institutional longevity
Over 90 years in Luxembourg telephony. Procurement teams in finance and the public sector know the name, and the group has decades of accumulated site knowledge in long-standing accounts.

🧩 Decision tree
Two honest recommendations based on business profile.
✅ Choose Telkea if
- You are a financial institution needing a PSF-accredited partner and compliance recording
- You want telephony, IT, building security, and software under one local contract
- You run trading floors or need recording of both fixed and mobile calls
- You have recent PBX hardware and prefer a hybrid path over a full migration
- You value a managed, audit-first delivery model with a named account team
🟡 Look elsewhere if
- You need published pricing before talking to sales
- You want native Microsoft Teams calling as a productised offer
- You expect deep self-service administration, APIs, or an integration marketplace
- You are a small team wanting fast, digital onboarding rather than an audit meeting
- You want a UC product line with a visible, frequent release rhythm

❓ Common questions
Does Telkea publish its prices?
No. Telkea publishes no pricing for Net-PBX, IP Move SIP trunking, Telkea Mobile, or internet access. Every offer is quote-based and follows an audit meeting with a sales adviser and a pre-sales expert. General terms of sale are public documents, but they contain no tariffs. This is common in enterprise telecom, but it makes upfront cost comparison difficult.
What is Net-PBX and what are the Entry, Standard, and Premium profiles?
Net-PBX is Telkea's cloud PBX service. Instead of one price per user, Telkea sells user profiles with different feature sets. Entry covers basic extension needs. Premium adds the MyIstra desktop softphone and the Telkea UCall mobile app, which most remote and mobile workers would need. Ask which features sit in which profile before comparing quotes.
Does Telkea support Microsoft Teams calling?
There is no publicly productised Microsoft Teams telephony offer on telkea.com as of July 2026. Telkea's unified communications positioning centres on Net-PBX and its own apps. A Teams setup may be possible in individual projects, so confirm directly with Telkea if Teams calling is a requirement for you.
Can I port my number to or from Telkea?
Yes. Number portability is regulated in Luxembourg by the ILR, and Telkea Telecom is a notified operator with its own number ranges. You can bring existing numbers to Telkea and take them elsewhere later. Practical friction usually comes from bundled contracts covering IT or security services, not from the numbers themselves.
Is Telkea a real operator or a reseller?
Telkea Telecom has been a notified operator since 1998, with its own number ranges and several points of presence in Luxembourg. It is not a reseller. The group combines this operator role with an integrator business, which is unusual: the same group can supply the trunk, the PBX, the LAN, and the building systems.
What is the IP Move programme?
IP Move is Telkea's migration programme for moving businesses from legacy phone lines (ISDN and analogue) to SIP trunking. It covers Luxembourg, Germany, France, Belgium, and Switzerland, with options such as redundancy and business continuity. Note that fax and modem traffic cannot be guaranteed over IP, a limitation Telkea itself points out and which applies to any operator.
